The results obtained using this device are prepared in 2D and 3D images.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember9531\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Antera measures colors using L*a*b* parameters. The CIELAB color space (also known as CIE L*a*b*) is a color space defined by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) in 1976. Color is expressed as three numbers of L* values for brightness a* and b* respectively for green-red and blue-yellow components.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember9532\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Using the L* parameter we can assess the skin brightness, using the a* parameter the skin redness, and using the b* parameter the visibility of dark circles under the eyes.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember9533\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Additionally, using Miravex Antera 3D we can determine the ITA (individual typology angle) indicator. Based on spectrophotometric measurements, skin types were classified into 6 physiologically important groups: very light, light, intermediate, tan, brown, and dark.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember9534\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Using multispectral analysis, we can measure the average hemoglobin content in the skin, thanks to which we can assess the visibility of erythema \/ redness. This method works well in studies in which participants have rosacea. Using Antera, we can also measure the average melanin content, thanks to which we can analyze skin color &#8211; this method works well in studies in which participants have age spots or sun discolorations such as melasma or lentigo.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember9535\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">A detailed analysis of the topography of the epidermis (Ra parameter) allows us to assess the roughness of the skin. Roughness is quantified by the vertical deviations of the actual surface from its ideal form. If these deviations are large, the surface is rough; if they are small, the surface is smooth.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember9536\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The device also allows to measure the volume of skin features. Some features protrude beyond the average skin surface, others are lowered in relation to it.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember9538\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">By applying an \u00ab\u00a0elevations\u00a0\u00bb filter or a \u00ab\u00a0depressions\u00a0\u00bb filter, we can analyze the degree of cellulite, scars or stretch marks, and by applying a pore filter, we can measure their size.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember9539\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The last methodology that can be carried out using this measuring equipment is wrinkle analysis. In the case of wrinkles, we can assess:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wrinkles length, [mm]: Sum of all wrinkles length in the selected region of interest and measured in millimeters.<\/li>\n<li>Wrinkles Score: Corresponding to different levels of wrinkles damage. The score is divided into 5 intervals: mild, moderate, advanced, severe and very severe.<\/li>\n<li>Average depth, [mm]. This is the average depth of all the wrinkles selected and is measured in millimeters.<\/li>\n<li>\u00b7Maximum depth, [mm]. This is the maximum depth of the wrinkles selected is measured in millimeters.<\/li>\n<li>Count. The number of individual wrinkles detected inside the selected region of interest. Indentation index, [\u00b5m].
